Supporting Bay Search and Rescue!

The Bob-In Café is proud to support the amazing Bay Search and Rescue (BSAR) team!

Since 1999, BSAR has been an all-volunteer team and charity, braving the treacherous sands and tides of Morecambe Bay to assist HM Coastguard and Cumbria Fire and Rescue in life-saving missions. These local heroes are on call to rescue those in trouble across the bay’s vast and shifting sands, and we’re honoured to do our bit to support this vital work.

Our premises provide a safe and convenient home for their unique off-road rescue vehicles – so that they are ready to roll out whenever danger calls. Keep a look out for the vehicles – the team regularly take them out on training exercises on the sands!
